Puro wiped his mouth, having finished off all the waffle he had brought with him. He was tempted to go get more, thinking they were the best food on the planet, but he decided against it. He wanted to make sure Shun got some of their flakily goodness, though only him and not the others. Well maybe Nitika could have one or two. Maybe.

He hiccupped softly and shook his head, scooting over tot eh edge of the couch and popping off. He looked around the room for a while, standing with one hand tightly gripping a cushion from the couch. Really this huge house scared him, feeling he could get easily lost in it since he was so tiny.

Upon hearing a noise he turned his attention towards it's source, staring for a split second before walking towards it. Just as he neared it he heard the door bang open, starting him and causing his twitching to get worse. He turned to see it was just the wind, having forgotten to shut the door when he entered.

After swallowing nervously he headed towards where he first heard a noise. He headed out into the hall, stopping to look around, then padding straight over to the front door. He reached up, wanting to turn the knob so he could go outside, but he soon realized someone had left it open.

After looking around once final time, wondering who had been kind enough to leave the door open for him, he shrugged and pulled it all the way open. He blinked at the sunlight hurting his eyes, letting them adjust then heading outside.

[Time is 6:30pm, After dinner]

Nitika placed her spoon down on the side of her plate, letting out a sigh and looking out the window next to her. The sun had finally gone down, thus making it pretty damn dark out now. Since dinner was over she knew her and the others should get straight on homework to either start it or finish it up, wanting to ensure they were done so they could get a decent amount of sleep.

“Everyone done?” She asked, turning to face the others as she pushed herself to her feet. “If so I think getting onto our homework will be a good idea. I’m taking my dishes into the kitchen, if anyone wants me to take their finished dishes done as well.” The teen scooped up her plate, starting to walk as she continued. “I’ll be doing my homework in the living room if anyone feels they need a bit of help with theirs, I’m more then happy to assist.”

Purokisha raised his eyes from his plate, looking to Nitika as she began to move around. He turned his gaze slowly back to his food, still poking at his macaroni and cheese with his fork. The toddler wasn’t very hungry for some reason, both being from all that was on his little mind and the fact that he was scared he would jab himself when raising the fork to his mouth. It had happened before, something he felt was embarrassing despite not knowing fully what the long word for that feeling meant. With a sigh he stood up, grabbing the plate tightly with his tiny hands as he turned to follow Nitika.

Hikaru bit his lip upon finishing his dinner, lowering the plate to his lap and staring off to the side as he had been doing his entire meal. He hadn’t spoken to anyone, didn’t really feel like it, and hadn’t really looked towards anyone’s general direction either. The teen didn’t want to start anything, didn’t honestly feel good anymore. Really, he hadn’t felt good since he had gotten to this house, or in all the years of his life for that matter.

The boy stood up, ignoring the girl ass he spoke and instead moving towards the kitchen himself. He just wanted to go to sleep, wanted to sit alone in his room and wish for death or something of the like to happen. He just really wanted all his thoughts and torments he had faced and seemed to keep facing would just end already.

Food was love, food was life. Not really but, Daigo ate as much as he could possibly eat. He even tried to steal some food from Shun and Haya while he was at it, since they were sitting closest to him. But of course, they did not take well to that. Not that Daigo cared.

Once he was done with dinner he burped loudly, and listened to Nitika. But he only listened half, and got up without saying a word, making his way out of the dining room. He was going back to his room, because he was bored. And he wanted to sleep. He always got sleepy after dinner.

''Gonna sleep. Night assholes!'' he called out with a grin on his face, waving once with his back to the crowd, and leaving the room.

Dinner had no taste, to her. Lately nothing had tasted as great as it normally did. Everything was so bland, and everything was so boring. Haya did not speak while she ate. She had not uttered a single word. She ate slowly and quietly, ignoring the others in the room. Now and then she grunted angrily at Daigo for him stealing food from her plate, but that was it.

She took the last bite and put her fork and knife on the table, just staring at it. Nitika spoke up eventually, asking if everyone was done eating, and giving this big speech like always. Haya just sighed and got up, grabbing her plate and bringing it over to the kitchen. Maybe she could help Nitika with the dish washing. She had nothing better to do, anyway.

Shun oddly enough wasn't hungry today. But it seemed to happen more often, lately. As well as his insomnia, that also seemed tot get worse as time went on. In the end, he had not eaten at all. Only one or two bites. And the chicken salad sandwiches he had left on the plate, because he would not eat them, anyway. Being a vegetarian and all. He did not oppose to Daigo taking his food. Normally he did but... today he just didn't feel like eating. No food seemed able to go down his throat; he was unable to swallow it down. A heavy feeling in his stomach.

Maybe he still felt bad about his first personal encounter with Hikaru, who seemed to be a massive dick. Maybe he still felt bad about Purokisha because the boy did not want a hug and walked away from him. Maybe he still felt terrible because Haya was sitting at the very same table as him and he did not dare looking her in the eyes. Thank god Daigo had been sitting in between them. But when he got up and left, Shun's eyes averted from Haya, looking at the table, at his dinner. It probably had gotten cold by now.

He wanted to help with the dishes but... he also did not feel like getting up right now.

Nitika rubbed her eyes sleepily, closing her school book close and letting her gaze drift to the window. She smiled softly as she spotted moon reflecting off the small pond’s surface, yawning and stretching before managing to push herself up. Slowly the girl gathered her books, humming to herself and making a few notes in her mind. She wanted to check on Puro before heading to be, Haya up reaching her room as well.

The young lady placed her books into her shoulder bag, snapping it shut and pulling it onto her side. She looked around the room for a few moments, checking if anyone was there and if she had forgotten any papers. With a nod she turned to face the door, switching the lights off after one final look. As she headed thru the doorway she heard a shuffle outside, stopping as fear flooded into her chest. She stood still, listening to see if she heard it again.

As he moved through the hall towards the front door, Shun came past the living room, where he saw Nitika standing in the doorway. He stopped and looked at her, worried look still on his face. ''Do you hear that crying? Sounds like a baby...'' he mumbled, afraid that it was, in fact, a baby. Another parent who had decided to abandon their child? Sadly Shun knew how that felt... and he would not let it happen to his child.

He began to move again, rushing towards the front door. And he opened it. In front of him on the steps lay a baby, wrapped in a blanket. Crying. Fuck.
''Oh no...'' Shun mumbled, because this child had been left just like all the children in these homes had been left. Shun picked it up carefully, and held the child in his arms. ''Don't worry, I won't leave you...'' he whispered to the baby. He was not going to ever leave this kid. How was he going to keep the baby here, though? The parents would not agree...

''Nitika!''

The teen bit her lip upon hearing a sudden soft wail, the sound of a very small infant. Why was there a baby crying all of the sudden? She turned to look at the front door, catching the glimace of a shadow rushing by the window and off the front porch from the tiny windows. Before she could move to the door, a bit to shocked to move right away anyway, she heard a voice next to her.

Nitika heard him speak but her eyes focused soully on the door, reaching out a hand as her brother rushed towards the now straight up wailing. "Shun..." She murmured softly as he turned towards her with a small bundle of covers in his arms. "Is that... A baby?" The girl whispered, taking a few steps closer to gain a better look.

"Are they hurt at all?" She finally managed out, brushing her hair from her face. "Bring them into the kitchen, we should check if they need food first." With that she faced the living room, heading to the doorway in an attempt to reach the kitchen. She took one more nervous look at the poor thing in Shun's arms, letting out a shaky sigh before heading off to fine some form of milk.

He was holding a baby. Shun was seriously holding a baby. One side of him was happy, considering it was a baby. And Shun had always wanted to have children. On the other hand, he was angry, because this child deserved so much more and Shun could not believe its parents could just leave it like this. Did they not feel regret? Remorse? Guilt? Ashamed?

Shun was brought back to reality when he heard Nitika speak, and he looked at the girl, sad. His head nodded. ''It's a... baby.'' he confirmed. Was this really happening? Shun checked the child over, moving the blanket a bit. The baby was fucking naked! A boy. And probably not even a day old. Only an hour or five, max. And the parents had not even dressed him properly, and just wrapped him in a blanket and dropped him off like this!? Shun could easily forgive people, but this infuriated him.

He brought the baby into the kitchen like he was told, holding it tight in his arms. ''It's a boy. Basically parents dropped him off naked. Can't believe it...'' he muttered to Nitika, words spit out like it was acid, voice filled with bottled up anger.

This child deserved better.

Hikaru yawned and stretched his arms above his head as he exited the bathroom, rubbing his eyes sleepily and glancing around the room. Where had Shun gone? The boy padded over to the door, looking out in curiosity. Upon seeing a dark hallway he swallowed, not so much afraid of the dark as much as he was by would might be in it.

With a shaky sign he started slowly down the hall, keeping his eyes forward aside from side glances he made just to be sure no one was behind him. He quickly rushed down the stairs, holding to rail so he wouldn’t fall from hurrying, and stopped once he reached the bottom. “Takeru..?” The boy finally dared to whisper, his heartbeat ringing in his ear.

He kinda just… Stood there after a while. A bit scared to move and unable to shake the feeling of someone or something watching him. This, this was why he couldn’t deal with horror movies or scary games.
